Know Your Maine Coon

Maine Coons are one of the largest domestic cat breeds. Males typically weigh 13-18 pounds (some up to 22 pounds), while females range 8-12 pounds. They can reach lengths of up to 40 inches, including their bushy tails.

Known as "gentle giants," they are friendly, social, and affectionate. They enjoy human interaction, adapt well to families, and are intelligent and playful. They communicate with chirps and trills rather than loud meows.

No cat is truly hypoallergenic. Maine Coons produce allergens like other cats, though some individuals may trigger fewer reactions. Regular grooming can reduce dander.
